Dana Georgescu is the Director of TÜV AUSTRIA Academy Romania. In this interview she talks about possibilities and innovations of her daily business.

Mrs. Georgescu, could you tell us a little bit about the background of TÜV AUSTRIA Academy in Romania: When was the Academy in Bucharest established?

TÜV AUSTRIA Academy Romania was established in 2007. We started with a few courses. Now our portfolio includes over 200 training courses from Quality Management to Soft Skills and Welding or Non-Destructive testing with around 1,700 participants per year. Our portfolio is very flexible and therefore applicable for companies of all sizes and branches. Further we develop inhouse training courses, which are fully customized. We are constantly developing our training program so that we can permanently meet our customers’ needs and stay at the top of the best training providers in Romania.

Which training courses are offered in the Romanian training program?

We offer training courses and workshops such as Management Systems, Cyber Security, Business Continuity and many more. Further, TÜV AUSTRIA Academy Romania is authorized by the Romanian state authority, CNFPA, and CQI-IRCA for several qualifications. We focus on different topics such as Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Management, IT Security, Food, Logistics and Acquisition, Human Resources, Laboratories and special courses for the Automotive Industry.

Do you offer your courses only in Bucharest or also in other cities/countries?

The courses are organised at the facilities of TÜV AUSTRIA Romania in Bucharest and Timisoara, as well as in other locations in Romania. Moreover, we offer training courses at the seaside or in the mountains with team building events. We also provide training courses in Republic of Moldova or other countries, if required.

How many training facilities does your location have?

In Bucharest there are 5 training rooms and in Timisoara there are 3 rooms. All rooms are spacious and well equipped. Beside the classical equipment in training rooms we offer tablets for our participants, on which they can access digital course material.

Can you think of a particular success story? What was the most positive participant response?

Well, we have had many success stories during the years. Most of our clients are very satisfied with our training services. But in present days I can tell you that our most successful story is that of our online LIVE training program. Due to the COVID-19 situation we were forced to find a quick solution for the Academy. So, we offered live webinars. We were surprised to find that our clients were very pleased with this new approach. Until today, we have already held over 15 online courses with very good feedback from the participants.
