HV-3 Training based on ÖVE RL 19
The advance of electromobility poses new challenges for manufacturers, vehicle workshops, educational institutions, towing services and emergency services. When working on electric vehicles that are live, additional technical knowledge is required for repairs and other work on electric and hybrid vehicles. In this seminar, you will build on the knowledge of the HV-2 qualification level in accordance with the OVE R19 guideline. After successfully completing this course, you will be authorized to carry out work on vehicles or HV components where a guaranteed absence of voltage is not mandatory, in accordance with OVE Guideline R19/2021.
When working on vehicle batteries or damaged HV systems, it cannot be ensured that the work can be carried out in a de-energized state. The HV-3 qualification level was created for these special activities in the course of updating OVE Guideline R19. Training level HV-3 builds on the content of training level HV-2. It teaches product-specific knowledge for activities on HV systems and their active components. In addition to the activities of training level HV-2, the following activities must be mastered:
- Measurements on the HV system to isolate faults and test work on the HV system where live parts are not necessarily protected against contact
- Work on electrical energy storage systems
- Work on vehicles with damaged HV systems
- any work where parts of the body or objects (tools, appliances, equipment or devices) may come into contact with live HV components that are not protected against contact.
This seminar will provide you with the technical knowledge and practical training to maintain and repair electric vehicles or their individual components. You will obtain the necessary certification with the final theoretical and practical examination.
Contents:
- Repetition of knowledge from qualification level HV-2
- Basics of occupational safety, in particular §3 of the Employee Protection Act
- In-depth knowledge of HV technology in the field of batteries
- Practical exercises for extended work on the HV power storage unit
- Live working on selected vehicle batteries
Lessons and practical exercises are held in English. To get to the German training please click here.
