HV-2 Training PLUS

The advance of electromobility poses new challenges for manufacturers, vehicle workshops, educational institutions, towing services and emergency services. Additional technical knowledge is required for repairs and other work on electric and hybrid vehicles. In this seminar, you will learn about the opportunities and advantages of electromobility, as well as the potential hazards of high-voltage systems. After successfully completing the course, you will be authorized to carry out voltage disconnections and work on voltage-disconnected high-voltage systems in vehicles. The content of this seminar goes beyond the minimum scope of OVE RL 19.

  • Electrical and electronic basics
  • Components and designs of electric and hybrid vehicles
  • Battery systems
  • Safety regulations and dangers of electric current
  • Charging stations, charging modes and plug-in systems
  • Practical exercises on the use of PPE and measuring devices
  • Practice: voltage isolation and recommissioning
  • Practice: Insulation testing and potential equalization measurement

Training units: 16

Course fee: see course details - plus 20 % VAT. The participation fee includes course materials and the respective learning support infrastructure. For face-to-face courses, this includes on-site catering; for online courses, it includes access to the learning platform and digital learning materials.

Requirements: Proof of basic electrical engineering knowledge: e.g. completed automotive technician/electrician training or other electrical engineering training.

Certification: Confirmation of participation from TÜV AUSTRIA AKADEMIE GMBH. If you pass the exam, you will also receive the certificate of competence according to R19 for the HV-2 high-voltage training level.
