Zum Inhalt

The proportion of complex electrical and electronic systems in vehicles is steadily increasing. At the same time, the risk of hazardous malfunctions must be minimized in order to maintain the high safety level of road vehicles. For this purpose, the automotive standard ISO 26262 was published in November 2011. By complying with this standard, both manufacturers and suppliers can reduce the risks associated with potential product liability cases.

In this training, you will learn about the importance of functional safety in the context of modern vehicle systems and gain a comprehensive understanding of the complete safety lifecycle. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to develop a functional safety concept in accordance with the standard, integrate safety‑relevant requirements into the development process, and prepare the corresponding verification and documentation. In addition, you will be capable of systematically assessing compliance with the standard’s requirements and evaluating them accordingly.
