Industrial component manufacturers, manufacturing industry, mechanical engineers, system integrators, plant operators, energy suppliers, operators of critical infrastructure, maintenance, production technicians, plant planners and plant technicians, plant electricians, operating personnel of machines, persons responsible for plant IT, future plant managers and production managers.
The admission requirements for the certification examination are
- completed training including examination as "Certified OT-Security Practitioner TÜV® (COSP)" or an equivalent course or relevant professional experience of at least 38 hours per week.
- proof of completion of the Certified OT Security Technical Expert TÜV® (COSTE) training course at TÜV AUSTRIA Academy or an equivalent course
- the application for the certification examination Certified OT Security Technical Expert TÜV® (COSTE)
The certification examination takes place on the last day of the seminar and is a
- written examination (single choice)
If you pass the certification exam and fulfill all admission requirements, you will receive the TÜV AUSTRIA personal certificate Certified OT Security Technical Expert TÜV® (COSTE), which is valid for three years.

To extend your certificate for a further three years, you must
- the application for re-certification
- Proof of subject-specific further training of at least 8 teaching units; alternatively a written examination.
(Further training courses attended within 2 years before and 6 months after expiry of the certification certificate are recognized). - Proof of practical experience of at least 2 years of regular, subject-specific activity; alternatively, an expert discussion.
(The practice must take place in the period between certification and recertification, although it does not have to be continuous).
