The curriculum is designed in compliance with The Professional Practices for Business Continuity Management, which are defined as the skills, knowledge and procedures BC professionals need, to lead a BC planning effort. This is an interactive course designed to assist planners to directly apply these materials to their working environment. Upon completion students receive a course certificate and take the Qualifying Exam.
Successful completion of the Exam, qualifies an individual to subsequently apply for any level of DRI certification. Certification is an additional process, comprised of verification of knowledge and confirmation of experience. Comprehensive learning objectives cover the fundamentals of the Professional Practices.

Topics:

  • Learn the elements of a disaster/emergency management and business continuity program as defined by Professional Practices
  • Understand industry terminology in the Professional Practices
  • Learn how to use the Professional Practices to develop a Business Continuity Management Program
  • Prepare the students to take the examination

This is a 4-day course, which includes 32 hours of instruction followed by the Qualifying Exam (day 5). Instructors offer an in-depth educational experience of DRI International’s business continuity planning model that delineates the skills, knowledge and procedures needed to effectively execute each stage. Instructors will present exercises depending on the experience of the class.
