If the number of people or the size of the workplace requires it, the authority may mandate, in addition to fire safety officers, a sufficient number of fire wardens. These individuals are responsible for supporting the fire safety officers in their fire safety duties and for monitoring fire safety within specific local or functional areas of the workplace.
