Certified Project Manager TÜV®
A variety of topics, especially new tasks, are implemented and realized in organizations within the framework of projects. Requirements for goal-oriented project management skills are getting more and more complex and the ability of autonomous implementation and project coordination is an initial qualification for managers. Project Managers know about the substantial elements of project management standards and can apply the knowledge into practice.
In this seminar, participants obtain theoretical and practical tools for successful project management and acquire the necessary qualifications to plan, implement and post process projects.

- General basics: standards, processes, procedure models, project types, credibility of a project
- Project initiation (pre-project stage): definition, framework, way of working, business case, proof of concept, project application
- Project planning: from project structure plan to the use of resources, organization, risk management, configuration management, quality management, project manual/ project management plan
- Project implementation (engineering): conception, requirements management, design composition, realization, verification and acceptance tests, delivery
- Project controlling: change control board, controlling meetings, controlling methods, project management measures, reporting, root cause analyses, project interruption and cancellation
- Project completion: project transfer, project evaluation, lessons learned, open issues, consolidation of project results
- Social competences in project management: project culture, social structures, special project situations, communication, management and lead
People leading, coordinating, implementing and working in projects.
The prerequisites for admission to the certification examination are:
- Proof of successful completion of the Certified Project Manager training program offered by the TÜV AUSTRIA Academy, or an equivalent course.
- Proof of a completed formal education qualification (apprenticeship, secondary school diploma, university degree, etc.) or proof of at least three years of professional work experience.
- Submission of the application for the Project Manager certification examination.
The certification examination consists of:
- The preparation of a practice-oriented project assignment.
- A written examination in the form of multiple-choice questions.
- An oral examination consisting of supplementary questions regarding the project assignment and the subject of project management.
Upon successfully passing the certification examination and fulfilling all admission requirements, you will receive the TÜV AUSTRIA Project Manager Certificate, which is valid for three years.

For the renewal of your certificate for a further three years, the following documents must be submitted:
- An application for re-certification.
- Proof of job-specific continuing professional development (CPD) for at least 8 training units (training courses attended within two years before and up to six months after the certificate's expiration date will be recognized).
- Proof of at least two years of professional experience in project management during the validity period of the certificate (e.g., employer confirmation, interim employment reference, or job description).
The application and supporting documentation may be submitted no earlier than six months before and no later than six months after the certificate's expiration date.
