Upgrade Certified Supplier Auditor TÜV®
The quality of products and services depends not only on an organization’s own performance but also critically on the quality of its suppliers.
As a Supplier Auditor, you use supplier audits (and customer audits) as an effective tool for preventive quality assurance by evaluating and verifying compliance with agreed requirements. In addition to meeting the procurement-related requirements of ISO 9001, supplier audits aim to establish and strengthen long-term, collaborative business relationships.

The admission requirements for the certification exam are
- Proof of successful completion of the Certified Quality Auditor training program offered by the TÜV AUSTRIA Academy, or an equivalent course.
- Proof of successful completion of the Upgrade to Certified Supplier Auditor program offered by the TÜV AUSTRIA Academy, or an equivalent course.
- Submission of the application for the Supplier Auditor certification examination.
The certification examination takes place on the final day of the training program and consists of:
- a written examination in the form of assessment tasks (open-ended questions and/or multiple-choice questions).
Upon successfully passing the certification examination and fulfilling all admission requirements, you will receive the TÜV AUSTRIA Supplier Auditor Certificate, which is valid for five years.

For the renewal of your certificate for a further five years, the following documents must be submitted:
- An application for re-certification.
- Proof of job-specific continuing professional development (CPD) totaling at least 8 training units (training courses attended within two years before and up to six months after the certificate's expiration date will be recognized).
- Proof of at least two years of regular auditing experience, including at least one year as a Supplier Auditor during the validity period of the certificate (e.g., employer confirmation, employment reference, or job description).
The application and supporting documentation may be submitted no earlier than six months before and no later than six months after
the certificate's expiration date.
