The EU Competency Certificate, often referred to as a drone pilot licence, is a mandatory qualification for drone pilots within the European Union who wish to operate unmanned aircraft in the Open Category with a weight exceeding 250 grams.

The “Basic Drone Pilot Licence” A1/A3
You will be introduced to the world of drones and gain an understanding of the fundamental terminology and definitions. The course covers aviation regulations and safety requirements, personal performance assessment, and key operational procedures. Participants also receive an introduction to general UAS knowledge.
Module 1 provides the foundation for all professional drone applications and serves as the basis for further qualifications within the drone industry.
The “Advanced Drone Pilot Licence” A2
The A2 licence is the qualification for the highest risk category within the Open Category and allows you to operate drones closer to uninvolved persons while complying with the legally required minimum distance.
In this module, participants learn the finer aspects of meteorology and flight performance. The course covers technical risks and their mitigation, as well as effective management of operational risks.
This licence is particularly valuable for organizations using drones for more complex applications such as construction monitoring, security services, and emergency management.
This course provides everything you need to deploy drones safely and efficiently within your organization.
Your drone pilot licence is valid for five years.
