Certified CSR & Sustainability Representative TÜV®
Successful sustainability management starts within the organization itself. This foundation course provides an introduction to the principles of sustainability and shows how to effectively implement and manage sustainability initiatives within a company. Participants gain a solid understanding of common standards, frameworks, and regulatory requirements, while building the foundation for working with ESG, CSR, and sustainability topics.

The course includes the e-learning program "Introduction to Management Systems" from the TÜV AUSTRIA Academy's e-learning portfolio.
Sustainability and CSR Representatives, Environmental Representatives, Quality Representatives, Integrated Management System (IMS) Representatives, Compliance Representatives, HR Professionals, Senior Managers, Executives, Marketing Professionals, and Organizational Development Specialists.
The admission requirements for the certification exam are
- Proof of successful completion of the “Certified CSR and Sustainability Officer (TÜV®) “ training provided by TÜV AUSTRIA Academy or an equivalent course
- the application for certification
The certification exam takes place after the end of the seminar and is a written exam (multiple choice).
Upon successful completion of the certification examination and fulfillment of all admission requirements, candidates will receive the TÜV AUSTRIA Personal Certificate Certified CSR & Sustainability Representative TÜV®, which is valid for a period of three years.

To extend your certificate for another three years, you need to present:
- the application for recertification
- Proof of specialist continuing education comprising at least 8 training units; alternatively, a written examination
(Continuing education courses completed within 2 years prior to and up to 6 months after the expiration of the certification are recognized.) - Proof of at least two years of practical experience involving regular work as a CSR and Sustainability Officer; alternatively, a professional interview (expert assessment).
(The practical experience must have been gained during the period between certification and re‑certification; it does not have to be continuous.)
The application and supporting documents may be submitted no earlier than 6 months before and no later than 6 months after the
expiration of the certificate.
