The EN 1090 specifies requirements for steel- and aluminum beam structures to ensure a sufficiently high level of static load capacity, stability, serviceability and durability. Quality standards for the entire technical process, from planning and calculation to corrosion protection, are determined. On account of the EU construction-product regulation, the EN 1090-1 and EN 1090-2 became a binding technical regulatory framework for steel- and aluminum beam structure producers.

Topics:

  • EN 1090 Part 1: General terms and conditions
  • EN 1090 Part 2: Technical rules
  • Execution documents – materials – preparation and assembly
  • Welding – mechanic fastener
  • Assembly – surface protection
  • Tolerances – inspections and assessments – audits
