High-Voltage Training HV-3 according to OVE guideline R19
HV-3 builds on the HV-2 qualification and enables participants to work on vehicle batteries, damaged HV systems, and energized high-voltage components where a de-energized condition cannot always be ensured. The course provides advanced technical knowledge, practical hands-on training, and product-specific expertise for diagnostics, testing, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicles and HV components. Successful completion of the theoretical and practical examinations qualifies participants to perform these activities in accordance with OVE Guideline R19. Includes Virtual Reality simulation training for practicing safe work procedures under realistic conditions.
Topics
- Review of the knowledge and skills acquired in HV-2 qualification training
- Fundamentals of occupational safety, with particular emphasis on Section 3 of the Austrian Employee Protection Act
- Advanced high-voltage technology, with a focus on battery systems
- Practical exercises for advanced work on HV energy storage systems
- Live working techniques on selected vehicle batteries
Additional Information
If available, please bring your personal protective equipment (PPE), including insulating gloves, sturdy safety footwear, and suitable clothing for practical work on vehicles. Please note that 100% attendance is required to be admitted to the examination.
Includes Virtual Reality Simulation Training
In addition to the practical exercises, the VR training provides an innovative opportunity to practice safe working procedures on high-voltage systems in a realistic and immersive environment.
This course is designed for electricians working in automotive workshops, towing and recovery service personnel, emergency response organizations, teachers at vocational and technical schools, vehicle inspectors and public authorities involved in e-mobility, employees in development, production, and service departments of companies using high-voltage systems, as well as electrical engineers and technicians who install charging stations and would like to gain a deeper understanding of vehicle-side high-voltage technology.
